Sister Rolls

Sister Rolls are coordinated sets: a 108 inch wide quilt backing paired with matching precut strips and one yard cuts from the same range, so the fabric on the front of the quilt and the fabric on the back come from a single colour story.

It removes the usual scramble at the end of a project, when the top is finished and nothing in the stash quite works behind it. Buying the backing and the coordinating pieces together also means the dye lots match, which matters far more on a large solid or tonal back than it does on a pieced top.
